Eureka Springs, the Wedding Capital of the South, is a charming, historically-preserved Victorian town with multitudinous opportunities for fun and entertainment. The arts, theater and an appreciation of beauty flourish here, as well as outstanding restaurants, coffee shops and night life.
Live music can be found everywhere, including in the open air Basin Park in the middle of downtown. Two theaters provide family style music and comedy, and the town Auditorium features major performers most weekends. The town is filled with unique and delightful shopping with a special focus on art galleries and antiques. Of special interest to visitors are the Great Passion Play and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (large cats).
Designated weekends throughout the year offer blue grass, jazz, blues, the Native American PowWow, antique cars, Mardi Gras (Eureka Gras), the Artrageous Parade and many other events. Opera in the Ozarks and a several week classical music festival perform in the summer.
Eureka Springs has multiple offerings for those who love the outdoors. Boating, swimming, white-water rafting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, camping, climbing and golf courses are all available, especially on the West side of Eureka Springs where Circle of Light is located. Also near Eureka are caves, waterfalls and river trips.
